Launch a bespoke website in a hurry
September 22, 2022
Nicole Arias

Here is a scenario we’re pretty familiar with: a client reaches out to us in need of a website and they’re in a complete rush. Their deadline is looming — an initiative is about to kick off, a new brand or product is set to launch, or an event they need to advertise is weeks away — and honestly, they needed a website up and running yesterday. The stress of it all has them convinced a bespoke site, made in a matter of days (or sometimes hours) just can’t be done — that is, until we tell them it can.

At Lollygig, we love design sprints that require rapid execution. Our team does many things, but for us there is something so exciting and enjoyable about creating a website that’s beautiful, dynamic, communicates essential information, and is ready to go as soon as the client needs it, right in time for project launch. We truly do love creating websites fast – really fast. And our clients love that we’re able to execute projects with tight deadlines.

Here are a couple recent, quick turnaround projects that highlight what’s possible:

A sneak preview site for a new comic book

This fall ABH Komics wanted to create a buzz around their first comic book called “Night.” In preparation for the book launch, they dreamed of creating a website that would get people talking. Lollygig was asked to step in and design a site that would complement the story and showcase some of the early artwork penned by the awesome team behind the series. Lollygig quickly jumped in and mocked up a site that hinted at the sheer power of the protagonist and the storyline that would unfold. We built their site within hours and shared our work with ABH Komics. They were thrilled with what they saw. With a greenlight to complete the project, Lollygig worked with our graphic design partner Seaberry Design to refine the design for launch. The website – nightrises.com – became the channel that the authors dreamed it could be.

Creating a kick-ass event site for Federal City Council

In early December the Federal City Council of Washington D.C. planned to host a virtual conference with headliner Mayor Muriel Bowser. They wanted to build a website that could drum up excitement for the event and provide necessary details about the event’s sponsors, business partners, keynote speakers, and more. Because of the tight deadline the organization wanted to know if they could launch the site immediately. Seaberry Design approached Lollygig to find out if a website could be created in a hurry. The Federal City Council had finalized copy, a brand guide, and assets ready for us to use. Within hours of the kickoff discussion, Lollygig built a bespoke, attractive website capable of acting as the front door for the event. The site – districtstrong.org – was launched the next day and immediately received over 1000 visitors within its first few hours. Most importantly the client was thrilled!

Do you have a project that needs to be launched in a hurry? We are ready to help. Here are a few tips to ensure that we can build your website – as quickly as nightrises.com and districtstrong.org:

  • Paint a clear vision of what your site needs to include (e.g. a blog, a storefront, embedded video, etc.)
  • Have all your assets (images, video, etc.) collected and ready for our team to use to build your site.
  • Prepare all copy for the website so we can get right to work.
