app & web app design

Two weeks after the iPad original launch, Lollygig’s BoomMaster app became one of the first 1000 apps available for the original iPad. It was immediately featured on the App Store under multiple categories, including “New and Noteworthy.”

BoomMaster was born out of pure inspiration. Days after Steve Jobs introduced the iPad, our CEO, Laate, began playing with one.
Sure, he wanted to test out the new large interface and the other apps native to this new form factor.

Laate admits “it wasn’t the iPad’s screen that first excited me but rather the object itself that caught my eye and my imagination.” Within the first thirty seconds of holding the iPad, he started carrying it around on his shoulders saying “wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a boombox app for the iPad?” And the wonderful thing was that Lollygig’s business partner said "Yeah!"

In only a few weeks, Lollygig and Gorilla Group designed an app that we submitted to Apple's App Store for review. Only hours later, we were approved.
Two weeks after we first talked about creating an app BoomMaster was real and quickly topped the What’s New section of Apple’s App Store (sold through Gorilla Group).Designed, developed, and launched by in 2010, the app quickly topped the What’s New section of Apple’s App Store.
